Following a few weeks at home, enjoying what Sydney has to offer over the Xmas and New Year period, Peter is off to Melbourne this week for the Victorian Open at the Spring Valley Golf Club, an oustanding but often overlooked layout amongst the famed sandbelt.
"I have played quite a bit over the last couple of weeks," said Peter on New Year's day after celebrating the arrival of 2012 with friends at his apartment on Sydney's Harbour.
"I have not hit a lot of balls but have actually played a lot and feel very happy with the way I am hitting the ball. I have not played Spring Valley before but have heard a lot about it and from what I hear it is a very good course so am looking forward to getting down there.
"I am keen to play as much as I can in the lead up to my return to the Nationwide Tour where I hope to get starts in some of the early events although at this stage I am still unsure exactly which ones they will be.
"The qualifying for the Open Championship at Kingston Heath on January 10th and 11th is now on my schedule as even though only three get through it is a good opportunity to try and get a start at Royal Lytham & St Annes.
