With his newly arrived daughter Yvonne and wife Ali now part of a signficant change in Peter's life he takes to the fairways of the Australian Golf Club this week as he prepares for not only what will be hopefuly a good week but the opportunity to prpeare for the Champions Tour qualifying next  week in the USA.

Having played a solid tournament at last week's NSW Open in his first event since the Fiji International in September, Peter is keen to build on that momentum this week at a venue on which he has won the Australian Open previously.

Peter won the second of his two consecutive Australian Opens at The Australian Golf Club in 2004 and has always rated the layout as one of his favourites.

Peter heads out to the Arizona in the USA as soon as his involvement in this week's event is completed chasing one of the few spots available on the Champions Tour.

In his first start on the Champions Tour in July he finished third behind none other than Bernhard Langer and Corey Pavin at Royal Porthcawl in Wales highlighting that if he is able to get one of the cards available he is in for a good career at that level.

Peter has an afternnon draw on day one when he will play with former Masters winner, Mike Weir, and American Zac Blair.
