Change of plans for Peter

An elbow injury has kept Peter from an important preparation ahead of his Champions Tour debut in US soil.

After the WA PGA Championship had been part of his schedule to prepare himself for an appearance at the USPGA Senior PGA Chmapionship, the flare up of a previous elbow issue when practising in Sydney last week would mean Peter has to skip a trip to the west.

Further treatment on the injury should hopefully see Peter heading for the US in ten days time where he will begin his preparation at the TPC in Summerlin in Las vegas before his trip to Benton Harbor in Michigan for the US$ 3 million Kitchen Aid Senior PGA Championship one of the majors on the Champions Tour.

Peter has played just the one Champions Tour event when finishing 3rd at the 2017 Senior Open Championship at Royal Porthcawl but without status on the Champions Tour he gets a start at the Senior PGA Championship as a result of his background in regular tour golf.

Dependant on how things go in this visit Peter is schedule to return to Sydney ahead of a trip to Europe to play European Senior Tour events although his ultimate goal is to earn status to the Champions Tour in America.
